Our Special Friends Ministry provides a fun, safe, and welcoming environment for children and adults with different abilities to learn and grow as disciples of Jesus Christ. Our leaders and volunteers help teach and engage students in the Word through bible lessons, art, and music.
Sunday School (Sun. 9:45)
During Sunday School, students can attend a class with peers of the same age or attend a class specifically designed for our friends with special needs. We use a Biblically-based curriculum that is modified to meet the needs of our students on their level. We believe that everyone can learn about Jesus and know that He loves us so much that He gave His life for us!
Special Friend's Church (Sun. 11:00)
After Sunday School, our friends are given the option to attend worship service with their family, attend the music service then transfer to Special Friends Church, or stay in Special Friends Church for the entire worship service. During church, our Special Friends have a Bible lesson, listen to music, and do a craft or play a game related to the lesson. This is a time of learning about Jesus while having fun with our friends.
Word of Life (Wed. 6:30pm)
On Wednesdays at 6:30, our Special Friends are divided into groups according to age. Our adult class has prayer request time and a Bible lesson followed by an activity. The school-age students participate in a modified lesson from Word of Life Ministries Curriculum. The lesson is followed by an activity and fellowship time.
